Hi All,
I think you'll all be wanting to pick up a copy of the new issue of "Classic Rock Presents Prog" magazine when you hear what's in it...
- A brief interview with Eric Woolfson which was done a week before he passed away, and their obituary for Eric
- A brilliant review of the Poe Showcase at Abbey Road DVD with some lovely comments about both the show as a whole and Steve (there's also a review of the full Edgar Allan Poe album too, by a different critic, who we won't talk about as he must not have understood what Eric was trying to achieve, which the critic that reviewed the DVD DID understand)
- A full page interview and a full page photo of Rob Reed (Magenta, chimpan A) talking about several things...he mentions a few of the upcoming releases he's been working on - including the solo album by Magenta's lead singer Christina Booth tentatively entitled "Broken Lives and Bleeding Hearts" which Steve will also be appearing on!
(BTW - congrats to Christina for being named Classic Rock's Prog Female Vocalist of the Year!)
And put your hands up if you like Kansas, Todd Rundgren, Porcupine Tree, Dream Theater, Pineapple Thief - just to name a few - they are all in there - worth it alone to read the lovely review of Steve in the Poe DVD (page 115).
There weren't many copies of the mag left at the WHSmith newsagent near where I work, and it has only just come out today. Here's an online link - maybe if you live outside of the UK you can order some through them? If not, please let me know and I'll see what I can do. Price is £7.99 and includes a CD of new prog for you to listen to.

Hi All,
Jut to clarify, the magazine I am referring to is "Classic Rock Presents Prog". Its sister (or mother?) magazine is "Classic Rock" and they look similar in styles but unless they have changed things recently, as far as I am aware, they are two different publications.
Classic Rock mag may also have some stuff in it (haven't seen the new issue of that one yet) but the bits I've described in the first post of this thread are in the Feb 2010 issue of "Classic Rock Presents Prog".
Hope that helps!
Kind regards,
NeeCee
